Resuming Nursery and Children’s Church:

Nursery for Newborn-3yrs will be offered every Sunday beginning on September 6.

Pre-k and K-5th children’s church will be provided on the 2nd and 4th Sunday’s of the month beginning on September 13.

Guidelines:

  • Hand sanitizer will be provided in each room. All volunteers and children 4 and up will need to sanitize their hands upon arriving to their rooms.

  • Nursery volunteers must wear gloves to change diapers.

  • The amount of toys in each room will be limited and kept to toys that can easily be wiped down.

  • Volunteers are asked to wipe down toys and commonly used surfaces after the children leave.

    • Disinfectant wipes/spray and gloves will be placed in each room.

  • No snacks will be provided.

  • When there are crafts, supplies will be separated out (as much as possible) into individual containers for each child to use.

  • Masks:

    • Children are not required to wear masks.

    • We ask that nursery volunteers wear a mask during drop off and pick up.

    • We are asking volunteers for pre-k and K-5th to wear a mask when interacting with the children. While teaching or giving instruction to the group from an appropriate distance, the mask may be removed.

  • One-adult rule. We ask that only one adult drop off and the same adult pick up each child. This will reduce the number of different people coming in and out of the children’s ministry areas.

  • For the well being of all who are involved, we ask that all children and volunteers who are running a fever or feeling sick please stay home.

To better accommodate spacing, the children will meet in the following areas:

  • Newborn - 3yrs: Nursery to the west of the sanctuary.

  • Pre-k: Large open area in the children’s ministry wing.

  • K-5th: Fellowship hall in the basement.

We look forward to welcoming our kids into these spaces again, but we also want to affirm parents in their ability to decide when they feel they are most comfortable with their children returning. Our kids will always be welcome to participate in the worship gathering in the sanctuary with their parents. Please continue to pray with us that these will be safe spaces for our kids and adult volunteers. We value the ministries provided to our children, not because they “keep kids busy,” but because it invites the entire church into the discipleship process together.

Grace and peace to each of you.
